Preserving New York’s existing buildings is essential to our city’s successful response to climate change. Think of it as recycling on the grandest scale. The event supports the MAS preservation efforts to save NYC’s historical buildings.

The Municipal Art Society of New York is a nonprofit membership organization which fights for intelligent urban planning, design and preservation through education, dialog, and advocacy.

The MAS Urbanists are a group of young professionals in their 20’s and 30’s who are committed to improving the quality of the city’s built environment, preserving the best of its cultural past, while educating themselves and others about the issues that will shape the city’s future.

In DUMBO, Galapagos Art Space presents the best of our cultural, non-profit and children’s programming, and will create New York City’s first LEED certified ‘green’ cultural venue.
