Making Sustainable Home-Cooking Intuitive
November 15th, 2007 by Ethan“Want to become the Iron Chef of your kitchen?”
Who doesn’t?!
But let’s face it, sometimes the TV chefs simply go too fast for anyone to pick up the real important tips (other than garlic and lots of it).
Meet Ameet Maturu, HHC, a Brooklyn-based certified Holistic Health Counselor and Founder of The Intuitive Cook (not to mention the host of Brooklyn’s infamous Great Squash Cookoff).
Mr. Maturu not only loves plant-based cooking and integrative nutrition, but starting in December, he is offering in-home “Intuitive” In-Home Cooking Classes to New York City residents.
You will learn to enjoy preparing delicious meals for yourself or loved one in the comfort of your own home. Classes focus on seasonal, plant-based and health supportive cuisine, and can accommodate those with food allergies and sensitivities.
Together we’ll cook a meal using only what is on hand. No recipes! It will be creative, fun, nutritious, and most of all delicious!
- Afternoons and evening sessions available starting in December.
(select locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn, contact for details) - Classes available for individuals, couples, and small groups.
- Rates vary according to group size and start at $125 for a three-hour session.
(Rates: One person, $125. Two persons, $175. Please inquire for larger groups. Does not include cost of food.)
Grab yer pots and pans and give Ameet a buzz to get cookin’!
