- Ethan is the founder and publisher of Green Brooklyn. He grew up in Northern Westchester, graduated from Cornell University in 1997 with a B.S. in Communications, and worked in entertainment and the media before dedicating his energy to sustainability in 2003. Green Brooklyn was founded in the Fall of 2006 and has been growing ever since. Ethan is also the founder and president of a sustainability and communications consulting company, called Aequus Green Communications (www.aequusgc.com), is on the board of directors of Sunset-Ridge Waterfront Alliance (www.srwalliance.org), and is involved in many other sustainability projects in addition to running, producing, publishing, and writing for GBK. Ethan lived in Gowanus (between 3rd and 4th Aves) in Brooklyn for 3 years, and currently lives in Ithaca, NY while taking frequent trips into Brooklyn and NYC for both business and pleasure.
